1. Purpose of This Privacy Policy
Navio Inc. (hereinafter "Company", "we", "us") values the protection of your personal information and establishes this Privacy Policy in accordance with applicable laws. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Pontus AI (hereinafter "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, and how we protect it.
* This policy does not apply to information that enterprise customers collect and manage through APIs, or to our internal HR/employment-related data.
2. About Pontus AI
Pontus AI is a knowledge-based generative AI service for maritime and logistics professionals, including shippers, freight forwarders, and shipping companies. It enhances work efficiency through analysis of maritime/logistics documents and emails, and business Q&A. It is currently provided as a beta version and is available free of charge until the official service launch.
3. Personal Information We Collect
* We do not collect sensitive personal information such as health or biometric data, and we recommend that you do not input such information.
- Account Information: Name, email, password, date of birth, and other information collected during registration
- User Content: Text and documents entered by users, and outputs generated based on them
- Technical Information: IP address, device information, browser information, service usage logs
- Communication Information: Customer support requests, emails, and other user inquiries
- Public Data: Publicly available maritime information for model testing purposes (does not include personal information)
4. Use of Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (local storage, log files, etc.) to improve user experience and service quality. You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. However, blocking cookies may limit some features.
5. Purpose of Using Personal Information
* We do not sell your personal information to third parties or use it for advertising or marketing purposes.
- Service Provision: Account operation, processing user requests, providing features
- Service Improvement and Research: Feature improvement through analysis of de-identified data
- Customer Communication: Responding to inquiries, feature announcements, essential notifications about policy changes
- Legal Compliance and Security: Fulfilling obligations under applicable laws and information security standards
6. Sharing and Disclosure of Personal Information
We may share or disclose personal information to third parties only in the following cases:
- Service Providers: We work with external service providers including Supabase (authentication and database), Vercel (frontend deployment), and AWS (servers and backup storage), with whom we have personal information protection agreements. Some personal information may be transferred overseas in this process and is protected securely in accordance with applicable laws.
- Legal Obligations: When required by judicial or regulatory authorities under applicable law
- User Choice: When users choose to integrate with external services through APIs
7. Retention and Destruction of Personal Information
- Personal information collected is destroyed without delay after the purpose of collection and use has been achieved.
- However, if retention is required for a certain period under laws such as the Electronic Commerce Act, it will be preserved in accordance with those laws.
- Electronic file information is securely deleted using technical methods that prevent recovery, and paper documents are destroyed through shredding or incineration.
8. Processing of Personal Information Upon Account Deletion
When a member requests account deletion, the Company deletes collected personal information without delay. However, information that must be retained for a certain period under relevant laws such as the Commercial Act and Electronic Commerce Act is separately stored and maintained for that period.
9. Security Measures
The Company implements technical and administrative protective measures that meet the security requirements of the maritime and logistics industry, and continuously monitors and improves them. Since complete security cannot be guaranteed, users must safely manage their account information and access rights.
10. User Rights
Users have the following rights under applicable laws (GDPR, Personal Information Protection Act, etc.):
- Request to access, correct, delete, or suspend processing of your personal information
- Request data portability (where technically feasible)

11. Protection of Children's Personal Information
This Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from users in that age group.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This policy may be revised according to changes in laws, service updates, or internal policies. Any revisions will be announced within the service along with the effective date. The revised policy takes effect from the announcement date or effective date, and users who continue to use the service after the change are deemed to have consented to the changes.
