Pontus AI Terms of Service

Article 1. Purpose

These Terms of Service are intended to define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities related to the use of "Pontus AI" (hereinafter "Service"), a generative artificial intelligence service specialized in the maritime industry, provided by Navio Inc. (hereinafter "Company").

Article 2. Definitions

1. "Pontus AI" refers to a generative artificial intelligence service specialized in the maritime industry that provides functions such as work assistance, document summarization, and response suggestions through natural language understanding and analysis based on emails, text, documents, etc.

2. "User" refers to an individual or corporation that uses Pontus AI in accordance with these Terms.

3. "Input" means text, documents, data, etc. provided by the user to the AI, and "Output" means the AI's response to it.

4. "Content" refers to all information including both Input and Output.

Article 4. Effectiveness and Amendment of Terms

1. These Terms take effect by being posted on the Service website or within the Service interface.

2. The Company may amend these Terms from time to time, with at least 30 days' prior notice before any changes.

3. If you do not agree to the amended Terms, you must discontinue use of the Service. Continued use will be deemed as consent to the changes.

Article 5. Account Registration and Usage Conditions

1. This Service is a generative AI service for maritime industry professionals or corporations and is not intended for general consumers.

2. Only users aged 14 or older may create an account, and parental consent must be obtained where required by law.

Article 6. Service Usage

6-1. Permitted Activities

- Users may input text-based materials related to maritime business such as emails, contracts, schedules, and response documents to the AI for natural language-based queries and responses, summaries, content organization, and similar case recommendations.

- Pontus AI is a generative AI-based language model that can provide reference-level responses to user business questions, but does not provide automated business process analysis or quantitative scheduling functions.

6-2. Prohibited Activities

- Manipulating AI output results with false information or misrepresenting them as human-written

- Reverse engineering, AI replication, mass automated calls

- Using AI output results as the sole basis for legal judgments, medical decisions, financial transactions, etc.

- Unauthorized use of Pontus AI results for external model training or competitive model development

- Infringing on third-party intellectual property rights or trade secrets

Article 7. Service Provision and Changes

1. The Service is available 24 hours a day and may be temporarily suspended for technical maintenance or server failures.

2. Pontus AI is continuously improved, and output content may change without notice.

3. The Company may update the model to reflect changes in the maritime industry, customer feedback, and algorithm performance.

Article 8. Ownership and Responsibility for Input and Output

1. Input entered by users belongs to the users, and Output generated by AI also belongs to the users.

2. Due to the generative nature of Pontus AI, identical or similar Output may be provided to other users.

3. Output is based on information estimation and may differ from actual data. Users must make their own judgment through internal review before use.

4. The Company is not responsible for any damages caused by errors, inaccuracies, or omissions contained in AI results.

Article 9. Paid Service Information

1. Currently, this Service is provided free of charge.

2. In the future, paid services may be introduced for some features or API integration services. In such cases, prior notice of at least 30 days will be given and user consent will be obtained.

Article 10. Account Termination and Service Cancellation

1. Users may request account termination and service discontinuation at any time.

2. The Company may restrict or terminate a user's account in the following cases:

- Violation of these Terms or related laws

- Service abuse or technical threats

- Accounts inactive for more than 1 year

3. Data cannot be recovered after account termination. Users should back up their data beforehand if needed.

Article 11. Service Termination

1. The Company may permanently discontinue the Service with 30 days' prior notice.

2. If paid services have been introduced when the Service terminates, refunds will be provided for remaining usage.

Article 12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

1. Pontus AI is a probability-based generative artificial intelligence, and output that is inaccurate or contains errors may be generated.

2. Users must use AI output after final human review, and all responsibility for judgments, decisions, contracts, and other results lies with the user.

3. If the Company's legal liability is recognized, the maximum liability limit is limited to the greater of the payment amount for the last 12 months or KRW 100,000.

Article 13. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

1. These Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, and all related disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Seoul Central District Court as the court of first instance.

2. The Company and users shall first attempt to resolve disputes through negotiation, and if agreement cannot be reached, litigation procedures shall be followed.

Article 14. Copyright Infringement Report

If you believe your intellectual property rights have been infringed by the Pontus AI service, please report it to the following:

Reports must include the following information:

- Name and contact information of the rights holder

- Location of the allegedly infringing content (URL or screenshot)

- Specific description of the infringement

- Statement proving that you are the rights holder

Article 15. Beta Service Terms

1. Pontus AI is currently provided as a beta version (pilot operation stage), and the service will be provided free of charge until the official service launch.

2. During the beta service period, the Company does not guarantee the stability, accuracy, completeness, or constant availability of the service, and is not responsible for the following:

- Damages caused by errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in AI output content

- System instability, connection delays, data loss

- Service interruption or changes

3. When the official service is launched, these Terms will be revised and separate notice will be provided accordingly.

4. Users are deemed to have fully understood and agreed to the above content when participating in the beta service.

Article 16. Miscellaneous

1. These Terms constitute the complete agreement between the user and the Company.

2. Users may not transfer their rights and obligations to third parties without prior written consent from the Company.

3. The Company may update these Terms in accordance with service improvements, technological evolution, and legal changes, with prior notice for significant changes.
